Accounts/Purchase Ledger Assistant.

Salary: £19,000 to £20,000 pa (fte). 

Closing date: 1 January 2021. 

Location: Working in our Head Office in Newcastle. 

Hours: 35 per week on a flexible basis. 

The role

St Cuthbert’s Care is restructuring its Finance team and is seeking to recruit an Accounts/Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Head Office.

Reporting to the Financial Controller the role will include:

Processing the charity’s purchase ledger
Processing donations received
Preparing banking deposits
Processing petty cash
Assisting with processing the sales ledger
Assisting with month end and year end reporting
Assisting the other members of the Finance Team

Our ideal candidate will:

Have previous experience of working in a similar role
Have excellent spreadsheet and word processing skills
Have excellent communication skills and a high level of attention to detail
Be a self-starter who can prioritise projects and deliver on time
Work flexibly to meet the needs of the service
Have experience of Sage 50 Accounts
Hours of work are 35 hours on a flexible basis to meet the needs of the role.

The successful applicant will be required to undertake an enhanced disclosure and barring service (DBS) check.
