Director of registered children's homes.
Salary: £45,000 – £50,000 pa.
Closing date: 1 January 2021.
Location: Working in our Head Office in Newcastle.
Hours: 35 per week but flexible.
We are looking for a talented individual with a recognised social work qualification (or equivalent) to lead and develop our charity’s four small children’s homes across Darlington, Sunderland and Newcastle.
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will direct and support our registered managers with every aspect of their work in ensuring the safety and well-being of the young people in our care.
You will set strategic and operational objectives and drive through change that consistently delivers high quality services
You will lead by example and manage with inspiration and encouragement
You will have extensive understanding and experience of Ofsted regulation, strategic commissioning and budget management
You will possess excellent communication skills and be an articulate and confident negotiator and influencer with all individuals including external professionals and stakeholders.
Hours of work are 35 per week however you will need to have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
You will be required to a have a full UK driving licence and access to a car for business use.

This is a new position within our charity, supporting the charity’s formal succession planning in relation to senior roles.
