Registered Manager for Children's Home.

Salary: £34,000 to £38,000 pa. 

Closing date: 1 January 2022. 

Location: Working in our residential children’s home in Darlington. 

Hours: 37 hours per week but flexible. 

The role

We are looking for a dynamic individual who has management experience working in a children’s home for up to five young people with emotional, behavioural difficulties.

Reporting to the Directorate you will be responsible for:

Directing, organising and overseeing the operations of the home, and ensuring high standards of care and regulatory compliance at all times.
Assessing, evaluating and informing best practice in relation to social engagement and empowerment for children and young people.

Excellent communication skills and ability to represent the Charity with external stakeholders is essential to the role as well as demonstrating the right values, behaviours and attitude.

You will be expected to have:

  • A management qualification i.e. Diploma level 5 in Leadership for Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Extensive understanding and experience of Ofsted regulation.
  • A minimum of two years’ management experience within a children’s residential setting.

 

Hours of work are 37 per week however you will need to have a flexible approach to meet the needs of the service.
