Deputy Manager

Salary: £27,000 pa plus £62.64 sleep-in payment

Based: Auton Residential Children's Homes, Newcastle

Hours: Full time over a 7 day rota basis

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, enthusiastic individual with excellent organisational skills to join the team in our Newcastle residential home for children and young people who may have had numerous placement breakdowns and who can present difficult and challenging behaviours.

The successful applicant will demonstrate the ability to deliver high standards of care, in all aspects of regulatory requirements, possess strong and effective leadership skills and be able to manage, motivate, develop and supervise staff.

You will be required to support and work with the Manager and senior team at an operational and strategic level.

A Diploma level 3 Health and Social Care, Children and Young People or an equivalent qualification is essential, as well as previous experience working with children and young people, in a residential setting, who display challenging and difficult behaviours.

You will have a flexible approach to hours of work over a 7 day rota basis, including sleep-in duties and waking nights to meet the needs of the service.
